I went to big W the other day with my family, in search of books for Christmas, and came across a book.
It was a normal book, but the blurb enraged me.
You see, I've always been a Hades/Persephone fanfic chick, and this story went up against everything I believed about Hades.
Allow me to explain.
You must understand, I am a complete and utter Hopeless Romantic, and once I have the idea that two people are meant for each other, I cling to it. Hades and Persephone are one of those many couples. And this book completely denied the existence of their relationship.
It went something like this;
Some random chick has a problem, meets this guy called Henry, who turns out to be Hades, and then she has to marry him or some crap.
The book was completely and utterly clichéd, from what I could see on the blurb, and the storyline itself made me angry.
All in all, I disliked it immediately, all but threw it back onto the shelf, and from then on acted like it didn't exist until now, when I remembered, and decided to have a good rant.
